‘Mashaal 2020’- Sports League – Day 2 - JIM Lucknow

Mashaal, the annual sports fest of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, Day-2 rang in with full enthusiasm which was held within the campus premises and also on the sports ground of Seth M.R Jaipuria School on 3rd February, 2020. The participants were all set to compete with their opponents keeping hopes of winning high.

The sports events of Day 2 were followed by the ones of Day 1. There was also a doctor who was available throughout the occurrence with necessary first aids to cater to any kind of emergencies during the sports events.  The sports in order of their occurrence along with the finalists are mentioned as follows :-

Cricket:

Day 2 started with the semi-final round of cricket. The finalist teams to compete were from Jaipuria Lucknow and PSIT College Lucknow.

Volleyball:

There were teams competing from different colleges. A separate team of girls and boys was formed.

The finalist teams (Girls): Modern Girls College Of Professional Studies  Vs Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group Of Professional College.

The finalist teams (Boys) : City Law College  Vs Lucknow University

Basketball: There was a stiff competition amongst the teams where finalists were as follows :-

Girls Team :- Lucknow University  Vs Amity University.

Boys Team :- Lucknow University Vs Amity University.

 

Badminton: There was competition between Boys and Girls in the order of Singles and Doubles.
Finalist (Girl, Single) :-Kajol Rawlani from Amity Vs Shefali Srivastava From Jaipuria, Lucknow.

Finalist( Girls, Double) :- Devika Mani and Kajol Rawlani from Amity Vs Arpita and Dhun from Jaipuria Lucknow

Finalist (Boy, Single) :- Mokssh Shashwat from Lucknow University Vs Abhishek Mishra from LPC Lucknow

Finalist (Boys, Double) :-Mokssh Shshwat and Abhishek Yadav from Lucknow University Vs Vishal Mishra and Naveen Goswami from Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University

Indoor games:

Indoor games had a variety of games Like Chess, Carrom and Cyber Games.

Under Chess :- Vaibhav Verma from National PG College and Vignesh Babu from Jaipuria Lucknow were competing.

Under Carrom :- Shoaib Siddique from Amity University and Shantanu Chaudhary from IMRT College were competing

Track Events:

Track events had racing , long jump, discus throw, tug of war and shot-put.

Under Racing (100 metres,Boys) :- Aditya Singh from RAMA Vs Mann Chitransh from National PG College.

Under Racing (200 metres,Boys) :- Rishi Mishra from National PG College Vs Himanshu Maurya from Jaipuria  Lucknow.

Under Racing (400 metres,Boys) :- Ashu Kumar from BBAU Vs Ashwin from RAMA PG.

Under Racing (100 metres,Girls) :- Shreya Sawarna from Jaipuria Lucknow Vs Anupriya from BBD.

Under Racing (200 metres,Girls) :-Samiya Azhar Khan from Integral University Vs Shreya Sawarna from Jaipuria Lucknow.

Under Discuss Throw (Boys) :- Akash Singh from Amity University, Aman Srivastava from A.I.E.T and Shivanand from Jaipuria Lucknow were competing.

Under Discuss Throw (Girls) :- Samiya Azhar Khan From Integral University, Firdaus from Karamat College and Ananya Sharma From Amity University were competing.

Under Tug Of War (Girls) :- Karamat College Vs ICCMRT

Under Tug Of War (Boys) :- National PG College Vs National PG College

Under Shot Put ( Girls) :- Rishika Singh From Amity, Khushi Srivastava and Mansi Srivastava from Integral University were competing.

Under Shot Put (Boys) :- Aman Srivastava From A.I.E.T, Rudra Pratap from IMRT and Yaksh Duggal from Jaipuria Lucknow were competing.

Under Long Jump ( Boys) :- Aditya Singh from RAMA PG, Mohammad Kalim Ansari from BBD and Avinash Kumar Pankaj from BBAU were competing.

Under Long Jump ( Girls) :- Renukaa Verma From Karamat Girls PG College, Shreya and Shalini Gupta from BBD were competing.

Football: Kicking a ball to score a goal. Teams were in full vigour to compete. In the list of finalist were National PG College and Sri Ramswaroop Memorial University.

Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing. On this note, after the face off of the teams in each of the events, it was now time for the announcement of results. The Chief Guest of the Winning Ceremony of Mashaal 2020 was Akshdeep Nath. Akshdeep Nath was the vice-captain of the India Under-19 cricket team that won the 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Australia. He addressed the audience with a small talk about the importance of playing sports and his journey as a sportsman. Moving ahead, Dr. Kavita Pathak, Director gave an insight about Mashaal, how over the years it has been encouraging the participation in huge numbers celebrating sportsmanship and the spirit of healthy competition. She also thanked Dr. Maneesh Yadav, (Faculty Coordinator, Sports Committee),Mr. Atul Kumar Singh, (Student Coordinator, Sports Committee) and the entire committee members and students for their enthusiasm. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Maneesh Yadav, (Faculty Coordinator, Sports Committee) who expressed his ecstasy for the successful completion of Mashaal 2020. He extended his applaud to the entire Sports Committee coordinated by Atul Kumar Singh and the fellow members for planning the events and executing them timely and in the smoothest way possible. He also appreciated the spirit of student’s participation in Mashaal from colleges across the city and said that participation is what matters the most and not winning alone. The event was then concluded with the distribution of prizes done to the winners.

DJ Night

 

Closing the sports fest, MASHAAL'20 on a positive and energetic note, a DJ NIGHT was organized for everyone involved in the fest. Wherein, DJ MISHTI was invited in the house to play some rocking tracks with high base, beats and rhythms. After a very hectic and exciting sports events everyone got a chance to loosen up themselves and dance.

 

By this, Mashaal'20, the annual sports fest of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow successfully came to end.
