“Alumni Talk Series” with the esteemed Alumnus Mr. Nishant Mohnot (2002-04 Batch), Director, McKinsey & Company, held at Jaipuria Institute of Management, on 27th January 2020.

The session commenced by welcoming the Mr. Mohnot and his family by the Prof. Manisha Seth - Chairperson, Alumni Relations Committee, Prof. Dheeraj Mishra and the students of Batch 2019-21.The Green certificate was given as a token of respect, a unique initiative taken by Jaipuria by planting a sapling in name of the guests.

 

A vivid introduction of Alumnus Mr. Nishant Mohnot was given by Ms. Prachi Priya, Senior Member Alumni Relations, and Ms. Aditi Chauhan, Academics committee coordinator, about his epitome of hard work and dedication with 15 years of experience currently working at one of most aspired organisation McKinsey.

Mr. Mohnot started the session at a nostalgic note revisiting memories of Jaipuria and expressing his gratitude towards the respected faculty. Furthermore, he enlightened the audience about his journey from Delhi Boy who grew up to be a leader, a serial entrepreneur bringing change and leading large-scale global teams.

The Session was very interactive as it started with a discussion on few questions that was put up by the curious minds of the students about changing trends and effects of digital transformation and its impact on the industry.

 

Our Alumni highlighted the importance of Automation, AI and Big data and giving fun facts such as, 90% of data is generated in last two years, the significant change in client meets and easy access to data etc.

The ironic thing happened when Prof. Dheeraj Mishra putting up interesting questions to his former student for his knowledge.

Towards the end Mr Nishant Mohnot gave few pointers for the future managers-

1.   To Gain maximum knowledge on AI and Analytics to be battle prepared for what the future holds.

2.   To increase conversational ability forming directional approach towards analysis in one’s specialization.

3.   Improve analytical skills and equip for translator role to take Business decisions based on big data.

4.   Understanding Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics

5.   Making your own Brand Value.

 

The session was well managed under the supervision of Mr. Jasmohan Chawla -Senior Manager - Admissions, Mr. Nitin Mohan - Assistant Manager - Alumni Relations Committee, Mr. Shuja Rahman, Alumni Relations Committee Coordinator and Junior Committee Members, Samarth SanalVidhushi JoshiNondini BanerjeeSashank Shekhar SinghSaloni & helping hand Rajat Agarwal.

Lastly the guest was presented with memento and gifts followed by vote of thanks by Prof Dheeraj Mishra.
