A conclave on IT and Operations was held at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow on 25th January, 2020. The theme of the conclave was Conquering Industry 4.0: Challenges and Opportunities. The conclave was conducted in association with KnoWerX Education and IIA, it was sponsored by RACE IAS and co-sponsored by TIFFLO and Camlin Kokuyo. The eminent speakers of the event were Mr. Ravindra K. Tulsyan, Chairman and Chief Mentor of KnoWerX Education (India) Pvt. Ltd., a premier channel partner of APICS, USA, Mr. Arvind Gupta, Program Director & Head of QM SAP Custom Development, Mr. Gaurav Sangtani, Founder President of Jigyasa Foundation and Mr. Syed Mohd. Abbas, Business consultant, digital strategy and integration. The panel was welcomed in the presence of Honourable Director Dr. Kavita Pathak, Dean Academics Dr. R. K. Ojha, Dean Research Dr. Masood Siddiqui, Prof. Ankit Mehrotra Area Chair IT, and Prof. Anupam Saxena Area Chair Operations. The panel discussion was moderated by Prof. Jayant Krishna Distinguished Professor at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, Former CEO at National Skill Development Corporation & Ex Regional Director, TCS. The event was coordinated by Ms. Tanya Kapoor, Coordinator, Conferences and Events Committee.

The afternoon was enlightened with this inspiring quote quoted by Ms.Tanya Kapoor. She introduced esteemed guests and invited them to grace the Dias and light the lamp of learning. The lamp lighting ceremony was then followed by Saraswathi Vandana by college choir.
Then, Dr. Kavita Pathak was invited to welcome guests with Green Certificate. She proposed a welcome address to all the guests and mentioned about the‘A' Grade Accreditation by ‘NAAC’ (UGC) and NBA Re-Accreditation that the Institute has received. Dr. Kavita Pathak suggested that the purpose of this conclave is to enhance the knowledge and information of the students on the topic of Industry 4.0 and the wider concepts of Artificial Intelligence, Block Chain and other technologies which will help in dealing with the issues the industry is presently facing.
Ms. Tanya Kapoor then invited Prof. Anupam Saxena to grace the dais with the quote “I cannot say whether things will get better if we change, what I can say is they must change if they are to get better”. Prof. Anupam Saxena introduced the theme of the conclave and stated that the conclave is a about the advancement in technology and the wider concepts introduced in corporate world. He stated about the relevance of industry 4.O and the trends of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies and processes which include cyber physical systems, internet of things, industrial internet of things, cloud computing, cognitive computing and artificial intelligence.
Then, Ms. Tanya Kapoor invited the moderator Prof. Jayant Krishna who discussed about the changing business scenario across the globe that has tremendously impacted both service and manufacturing organizations. He enlightened how business organizations be it service or manufacturing are implementing technological advancement like Block chain, 3D Printing, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Cybersecurity and others. He emphasized on the importance of analyzing and understanding the various data and change management techniques. Then, Prof Jayant involved other panellists for the discussion. The discussion was taken over by Mr. Ravindra K. Tulsyan who briefed about the Big Data Analytics, Blockchain, 3-D printers and protocols. Further, other panellists talked about the economies which are capital intensive and industrial programmers, study of robotics.
Mr. Syed Mohd. Abbas mentioned four characteristics on the theme of the conclave:
· Products and Services is catered individually and in masses.
· Managing the ecosystems.
· Embrace Risk.
· Exponential growth
Going ahead, all the eminent speakers, discussed about incorporating the technological advancement and Conquering Industry 4.0 and the challenges and opportunities faced respectively. It was an interactive session followed by and question answer round and was beneficial for all guests, faculties and students from various colleges. In the end a prize distribution ceremony was held for the Research Paper Competition and Poster Making Competition, the winning candidates of various colleges were presented with the prizes. Lastly the distinguished guests were presented with the Memento and gifts. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Ankit Mehrotra.
