On Saturday, 21st of December, 2019, Lucknow witnessed an evening, full of bliss and merry making. The twentieth alumni meet of Jaipuria Lucknow was organized in Hyatt Regency, Lucknow by the members of the Alumni Relations Committee and Lucknow Core Committee of Jaipuria under the guidance of Prof. Manisha Seth, Chairperson, Alumni Relations Committee and Mr. Nitin Mohan, Assistant Manager, Alumni Relations Committee, and Mr. Shuja Rahman, Student Coordinator, Alumni Relations Committee. The event kick started at 7:30 pm onwards and witnessed a great zeal among the alumni from the various passed out batches of the institute. The theme of the event was musical nights and the dress code was fusion.
The alumni were provided with an option of the on-spot registrations which lead to heavy rush at the registration desks from the very start of the event. The alumni marking their valuable presence to the celebration, some came alone while some along with their family members and friends. One could have easily seen that feeling of joy and contentment on the faces of the alumni, as they passed down the memory lane, remembering their old times and seeing their long lost friends coming with their wives and kids.
The event began with a speech by the Director, Prof. Kavita Pathak, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, addressing the alumni and talking about the various milestones achieved by the institute in the previous year and also how it has grown and has successfully made its place among the top management institutes in the country. She further talked about the recent NBA accreditation and ratings received by the institute and congratulated each of the person who made it possible.
She further complimented the members of the Lucknow Core Committee and all the members of the Alumni Relations Committee for their active involvement towards developing the event so successfully and congratulated all the faculty members who have served as the backbone throughout these years and have worked effortlessly towards the growth of this institute.
Following the message, the 3rd addition of the Alumni Annual Newsletter- Cynosure and a video was released, highlighting the backbone of the Alumni Relations Committee and contribution of Lucknow Core Committee members along with the alumni events that took place throughout the year.
This was followed by a welcome speech given by the President (Lucknow Core Committee) - Mr. Akash Deep Saxena, congratulating and complimenting the support of each member of Lucknow Core Committee, Director Ma’am and all the faculty members and announcing the beginning of the celebrations.
The night began with a band performance led by Mr. Gunjan Roy, which was organized for the entertainment of the alumni and the faculty members, the soothing music took all over the place, filling it with a totally different energy level and enthusiasm. Adding to this, various engagement activities and surprises were organized for making the night even more interesting and fun.
The first engagement activity was Guess the Song in which only the music was played and people were asked to guess and then sing the song- some of the people who were able to back prizes included- Mr. Ashafaque Ahamed (2005-2007), Mr. Anish Mathew (2004-2006), Mr. Vikrant Singh Bhaduria (2016-18)and many more.
Various other titles and prizes under different categories were also backed by our alumni which included:
1- Best Dressed Male- Mr. Anish Mathew (2004-06)
2- Best Dressed Female-Ms. Aishwarya Garg (2016-2018) & Ms. Aakanksha Gupta (2003-05)
3- Best Dressed Couple- Mr. Ashafaque Ahamed (2005-2007) &his wife Mrs. Irfat Ahamed
4- Best Male Singer- Mr. Jacob Singh (2016-2018)
Alumni Awards and the esteemed alumni to receive the recognition included:

3- Professional Wizard of Jaipuria- Ms. Nidhi Mathur (1996-1998)
4- Entrepreneurial Vigor of Jaipuria- Ms. Aakanksha Gupta (2003-2005)
5- Societal Contributor of Jaipuria- Mr. Khushal Bhargava (2003-2005)
The activities were followed by the cake cutting ceremony and a vote of thanks as proposed by the chairperson of Alumni Relations Committee- Prof. Manisha Seth. The event gave a room for networking over dinner, providing an end to a wonderful night of merry making in remembrance of the old times.
