Brand Track Insights with Director-Operation, Vodafone Idea Limited - JIM Lucknow

On 18th December, 2019 Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow organized a session on “Brand Track” with Mr. Suresh Kumar, Director and business leader Vodafone Idea Ltd., Amit Bedi, Business Head UP east, Vodafone idea ltd., Mr. Neelesh Keserwani, Senior GM, Sales, Vodafone Idea and Ravindra Deo, GM salesThe session was held under the supervision of Dr. Shubhendra Singh Parihar, Associate Dean, Student AffairsMr. Omesh Srivastava, Assistant Manager, Student Excellence Council. Mr. Suresh had a dialogue with the students of both the batches and did the Brand Tracking Survey with the students. He shared the importance of brand tracking and how spending time with the actual customers allows marketers to analyze and benchmark a variety of factors, such as how customers feel about their products and what factors they could improve.

 

Then he surveyed the students as a point of view of customers with questions like, which sim card do they prefer and why? On what basis do they decide their preferred sim card? What method they are using to do the recharge? On the basis of past experience most of the students shared that they decide on the basis of the quality of network provided and internet speed and budget packs and maximum number of students shared that they are using online apps like Paytm, PhonePe, Jio app, airtel app etc. for doing recharge.

He also discussed about the hike in prices of the telecom services up 40-50 per-cent and its impact on customers. As all operators have decided to raise tariff for voice and data services and so far, Vodafone-Idea and Airtel have revised tariff in December.

 

Mr. Suresh also told us about how post-paid services are becoming comparatively better then pre-paid services in terms of pricing and had discussion how companies are supporting customers to prevent their phones from virus through various anti-virus services provided by them. At the end he asked to the suggestions from the students for Vodafone-Idea to improve and praised the students for their wonderful ideas and suggestions.
